About Diogo

My name is Diogo, and I am 38 years old. I have played football in several countries, including Portugal, Belgium, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. These experiences have given me valuable insight into different football cultures, coaching methods, and playing styles. I am fluent in Portuguese, French, and English, allowing me to communicate effectively with players and families from diverse backgrounds. As a UEFA-qualified football coach, I have spent the past three years working at the academy of AFC Wimbledon, coaching players across a range of age groups from Under-12s to Under-18s. Throughout my coaching career, I have focused on creating engaging, challenging, and player-centred sessions that support both technical development and personal growth. My passion is helping young players improve their understanding of the game, develop confidence, and reach their full potential in a positive learning environment. The most rewarding part of coaching for me is seeing players enjoy football while progressing and achieving their individual goals through the sessions I deliver.
