About François

I started with a training in classical music at the Conservatory of Music in Huy when I was 7 years old. First with music theory (5 years training) and the piano (for 10 years), then I started the clarinet at 12 (also 10 years). I finished these three courses and started the guitar at 20 years old.

The guitar immediately became my main instrument and, after that, I finished my university studies to perfect myself in London in order to make the guitar my full time occupation.

I've been teaching guitar for the past five years, my students range from beginners to professional guitarists.

About the lesson

I offer you a personalized experience, whether you want a structured approach with a lot of theory or a freer approach based on ear learning (or a mix of both!).
I am very attentive and will base my teaching according to your objectives and the knowledge required to reach them.
If you wish to learn only a collection of specific pieces: I will arrange for you to learn them but also to teach you a methodology to learn other pieces by yourself in the future.
If you want to acquire technical abilities in one or more styles: it seems important to me to base a technical learning with a contextualization: I will propose you technical exercises based on pieces of artists approaching the objectives that you have communicated. I can also offer improvisation lessons or to teach you how to play with other musicians.
