About Adam

I have 15 years' experience in filmmaking, both in production (working in directing, videography, and assistant directing) and post-production (as an editor and animator).

I run a business called Tree Tunnel where I create online content for nonprofits and good causes, and am excited by the prospect of delivering classes for a new generation of filmmakers.

I have experience tutoring classes in both animation and filmmaking, from beginners and children, to semi-professional adults. Mostly I have done group work but I find it makes for a more productive experience for both of us to work one-to-one.

I also have a recent and clear Enhanced DBS check certificate.

About the lesson

I aim to teach through doing, more as a mentor than a teacher. I will take a student from the start to finish of a project (whether animation or video, from the planning stage through to delivery or on particular part of the process) and will base it all around the student's needs. Tell me what you want to achieve, and I'll make it happen for you.

I am happy to tutor complete beginners, through to fellow professionals with specific requirements. Please get in touch and tell me what you want to get out of our time. It works best if we book multiple sessions over the intended duration of your project, so I can advise at every step of the way.

Although my rate is higher than the average on here, I believe my skillset is worth the cost, and I am not someone who 'watches the clock' all the time, and I will be keen to see your project made. You will get a valuable course from me.

Please note that for editing or digital animation tutoring, you would be required to have your own computer and software, and for production you may be required to have your own equipment. I use predominantly Adobe CC software, and DSLR camera set-ups.

All of this can be discussed during our FREE first session, which we can use as a consultation and to talk about what you hope to learn and make.
