About Elise
I am a highly experienced Computer Programming tutor with 15 years of teaching experience helping High School and College students achieve success in coding and academics. I have successfully taught over 300 students and helped them improve their understanding, grades, and confidence in programming. My teaching philosophy is based on practical learning, clear explanations, and continuous support so students can easily understand complex topics. I teach Java, C, SQL, Data Structures, and Algorithms and focus on both theory and real-world application. I provide a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. Many of my students have achieved academic improvement and successfully completed difficult assignments with my guidance. I also prepare students for exams and job opportunities by practising coding questions, interview preparation, and real project work. My goal is to help students become skilled and confident programmers.

My approach to teaching computer programming is focused on clarity, consistency, and practical understanding so students can build strong coding skills step by step. I teach students by using real-life examples and case studies which help them understand how programming is applied in real situations and industries. My main focus is Java along with important topics such as Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, Algorithms, Database Management Systems, SQL, and Software Development concepts while also strengthening basics through C programming and logical thinking exercises. I encourage collaboration by allowing students to discuss ideas, solve problems together, and participate actively in coding sessions which improves their confidence and engagement. I use detailed explanations and live coding demonstrations so students can clearly understand each concept without confusion. I teach with empathy by understanding student challenges and adapting my teaching style to match their level while providing additional support when needed. I also focus on exams, assignments, and career preparation by guiding students through coding practice, interview preparation, and project development.
