About Danse

Instructor and CEO Hydeia characterizes her lessons as "The way of obtaining knowledge through a fun, social, structured environment where your abilities have no limit". Hydeia grew up in North Carolina; has been dancing, performing and competing since the age of 3! Back then her focus was Jazz, Ballet, and Gymnastics. She started studying and training in Ballroom dance at 13 and began teaching at the young age of 16. Now as a professional and entrepreneur she caters to the greater Los Angeles and surrounding areas, where she continues her profession as an instructor and choreographer.

Through her studies and background in dance and theater, Hydeia has taught across the U.S and has competitive awards and media recognition for her work in the community. This being her forming a dance troupe for the visually impaired community creating opportunities for blind dancers to learn and showcase their work. She has been featured on CBS, ABC news and other media outlets for her community work. She also made her Netflix debut teaching salsa on "Bling Empire" S1E5.

About the lesson

Dansé was started by professional dance instructor, coach and choreographer Hydeia. Having studied and competed in ballroom/latin dancing across the country, she has been catering to the greater Los Angeles area as an instructor and entrepreneur for the past 10 years. Teaching professionally since the age of 16, Hydeia has won awards both as a performer and instructor.

When Hydeia is not teaching her everyday clients how to dance for fun or prepare for salsa dance nights she's choreographing musicals such as Mean Girls or Matilda for theater companies. Or choreographing custom first dance routines for couples who want to leave a lasting imprint on their guests. Hydeia is known for balanced lessons. There will be fun, conversation along with technique, different types of dance movements and good music. She believes lessons should be an experience leaving you confident and excited for more! Her approach to teaching is uniquely her own.

Whether you're looking to learn a new dance style for fun, potentially perform/compete or just want to finally learn how to be confident in any room, these lessons will take you there!

There isn't much I don't teach and while dance is my career and passion I encourage you to reach out if you're ready to get started but maybe would like some advising on how many lessons you'll need to accomplish your specific goal. Buying a package allows you to save per lesson!
***Lessons require a 17 hr cancellation
***Free 30 min redeemable lesson is for online students in preparation of purchasing a package. This is to be used more as a consultation and to get you moving a bit for the instructor to better understand your dance level and learning style going forward.
