About Emily
With over 12 years of experience, I am a passionate Flute tutor teaching School, College, and working professional students. I have worked with beginners as well as advanced learners, helping each student progress step by step.
My tutoring style is encouraging, organised, and practical. I focus on correct flute techniques such as breath control, tone production, finger movement, rhythm, and musical expression. I make sure students understand concepts clearly and apply them confidently during practice.
In addition to flute training, I teach supporting subjects like basic music theory, notation reading, rhythm exercises, ear training, and scale practice. These skills help students become independent and confident musicians. I also assist students with exam preparation, school assessments, and stage performances.
My unique ability lies in adapting lessons to different age groups and learning needs. I provide clear guidance, structured practice plans, and continuous support. My goal is to help students improve consistently while enjoying the learning process and building a strong connection with music.

My flute teaching methodology is based on strong communication, creative learning, and flexible teaching methods. I believe students learn music best when lessons are clear, enjoyable, and adjusted to their personal needs.
Communication is the foundation of my teaching. I explain flute techniques in a simple and clear manner, using demonstrations and examples. I encourage students to ask questions and share their difficulties freely. Regular feedback helps students understand their progress and stay motivated.
Creativity makes flute learning interesting and meaningful. I use creative warm-ups, rhythm exercises, and musical pieces to keep students engaged. Along with technical skills, I focus on musical expression, tone quality, and phrasing. Students are encouraged to explore sound and develop their own musical identity.
Flexibility allows me to adapt lessons to different learning styles and speeds. I adjust lesson plans based on the student’s level, comfort, and goals. Whether a student is learning for exams, performances, or personal enjoyment, lessons are designed to suit their needs.
Flute lessons include breathing techniques, posture, embouchure, finger coordination, scales, articulation, rhythm, and sight reading. I focus on building strong fundamentals for long-term development.
In addition to flute, I teach related subjects such as music theory, note reading, rhythm training, ear training, and basic performance skills. These subjects help students gain a deeper understanding of music.
