About Hunter
I graduated from UT as an Engineer and went into teaching high school shortly after. Then I went back to school for a Master's in Educational Psychology, where I learned how to better support student stress management, executive functioning, and motivation. Today, I teach credit recovery in south Austin helping make sure seniors graduate with their cohort. I love the outdoors and traveling around the country.

My lessons are geared towards adolescent students struggling in any secondary math or science. Some subjects I feel especially comfortable with, that tend to trip students up include, Factoring Trinomials, Trigonometry, Proofs, Limits, Exponentials and Radicals, The Periodic Table, Stoichiometry, Thermodynamics, Energy, Momentum, Force, and Projectile motion, to name a few. I am not a tutor that simply gives students the answer, but rather I pose questions and prompts to help students discover their own ability to solve problems independently, with proper scaffolding.
