1. Teaching Method and Techniques Student-Centered & Adaptive Learning My method is centered on the learner: I start by identifying their current level, learning goals, and preferred learning style (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, etc.). I adjust my pace, depth, and techniques accordingly. Active Learning Rather than just lecturing, I prompt students with questions, problem-solving exercises, and real-world scenarios. I aim to develop critical thinking alongside subject mastery. Scaffolded Learning I break complex topics into smaller, manageable pieces and gradually remove support as the student gains confidence. This builds strong foundational understanding. Feedback-Driven Every session includes formative assessment—mini quizzes, recap questions, or discussions—to check understanding and guide the next steps. 2. A Typical Lesson Plan Each session usually runs 60–90 minutes and includes the following: Warm-Up (5–10 mins) Quick review of previous material Address any lingering doubts Concept Introduction (15–20 mins) Explain new topic with examples Use visuals, analogies, or real-life context Guided Practice (20–30 mins) Walk through problems together Gradually shift responsibility to the student Independent Practice (15–20 mins) Student tackles similar problems solo I observe and offer corrective feedback Recap & Plan (5–10 mins) Summarize key takeaways Discuss homework or prep for the next session 3. What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor Clear Explanations: I break down complex ideas into simple, relatable terms. Interdisciplinary Strength: I can connect topics across math, science, writing, and logic to enhance understanding. Patience & Encouragement: I foster a safe space for mistakes and questions. No pressure, just progress. Customization: Lessons are built around the student’s specific syllabus, learning goals, or interests (e.g., test prep, college applications, coding projects). 4. Who the Lessons Are For Levels: Middle school to university level Also support adult learners returning to education or preparing for career shifts Subjects: STEM: Math (Pre-Algebra to Calculus), Physics, Chemistry Humanities: Writing, Essay Structuring, Literature Test Prep: SAT, ACT, GRE, AP Exams Coding: Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS basics Specific Needs: Students with learning difficulties (e.g., ADHD, dyslexia) ESL learners Gifted and accelerated students needing enrichment
