About Marisa
I am a 30-year-old graduate from Dalhousie University. I wrote for magazines and academic journals and served as a proofreader/editor for my colleagues at the magazine. I served as an editor for fellow students at University. Most of my editing work was with English as a Second Language students where I was very successful in contributing to their success in respective courses.

I am a graduate from Dalhousie University with published articles for magazines and a literary journal. I have served as a professional proofreader and editor for academic papers and magazine articles. I will take time each session to go through the basics of writing a successful paper, article or any other form of writing. Furthermore, we can go into the basics of grammar and how they apply in writing. I am hands on and thoroughly explain why changes need to be made and ensuring the student thoroughly understands.
A typical lesson plan would be:
-Review current writing assignments
-Go through where changes need to be made
-Make changes with student and get their opinion on changes and answer any questions
-Grammar lessons and how they apply
This tutoring would be for high schoolers who struggle with writing, middle schoolers who want a leg up and English as a second language students.
