About Luken

With a decade of experience teaching ESL, I specialise in guiding high school and college students towards achieving proficiency, fluency, and confidence in English. My teaching philosophy is student-centred and focuses on personalised learning, adapting lessons to suit each learner’s strengths, goals, and challenges.

I combine grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and speaking instruction with interactive activities, discussions, and real-world examples, making lessons both practical and engaging. I am known for my patience, clarity, and ability to simplify complex concepts.

Over the years, I have helped students improve exam results, develop effective communication skills, and gain confidence to express themselves in both academic and everyday situations.

About the lesson

My ESL teaching methodology is grounded in Creativity, Communication, Compassion, and Problem-solving (C³P). Creativity is fostered through interactive storytelling, role-playing, and project-based activities that encourage students to explore language imaginatively and express themselves confidently.

Communication is emphasised through discussions, debates, and collaborative exercises that build fluency, listening skills, and comprehension. Compassion ensures lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, with continuous support, encouragement, and constructive feedback to foster confidence and motivation.

Problem-solving is integrated through scenario-based exercises, practical challenges, and analytical tasks, enabling learners to apply English effectively while strengthening critical thinking skills. I also teach complementary subjects such as reading comprehension, writing, and vocabulary development for a well-rounded learning experience.

This approach develops learners who are confident, creative, empathetic, and capable of using English successfully in academic, professional, and real-life situations.
