About Shayne
My name is Shayne and I live and breathe flowers. I’ve been in the industry for 10 years, worked at some of the best shops (shout out to Babylon Floral Design and Beet and Yarrow!) and I know my way around the basics of floral design and beyond. In July of 2026, I received a Lifetime of Learning scholarship to attend the American Institute of Floral Designers symposium. I am constantly trying out new methods and techniques to set my arrangements apart from my peers and I am so excited to share them with you!

These lessons are for you if you want to take your Trader Joe’s arrangements to the next level, are an artist that wants to learn care tips and techniques for your next mixed media project, want to increase your chances of passing a job interview at a flower shop, or want to explore your creative voice through the radical power of flowers! I specialize in a bold, innovative new style that I like to call Alienstyle. It heavily features orchids, fluid movement, mixed media, and is lightly inspired by sogetsu ikebana. I can teach a broad spectrum of floral skills and I can’t wait to come up with your personalized curriculum!

The cost of the hourly lesson price includes flowers and materials! This can be adjusted based on your personal curriculum! After the first hour, my rate goes down to 25/hour. Please inquire with questions!
