About Lily
I am a dedicated flute tutor with 18+ years of teaching experience, having successfully trained around 150 students across all levels. I enjoy working with beginners as well as advanced learners, helping them improve their skills and develop a love for music.
My teaching approach focuses on communication, patience, and flexibility. I take time to understand each student’s goals and learning pace, and I design lessons accordingly. I emphasise strong fundamentals such as breath control, finger movement, tone clarity, and rhythm accuracy.
To make learning interesting, I include creative elements like simple improvisation, musical exercises, and song-based practice. I believe that students learn better when they enjoy the process, so I maintain a friendly and encouraging environment.
One of my strengths is helping students overcome difficulties by breaking down complex techniques into easy steps. I guide them with consistency and support, which helps build confidence and steady progress.
I also teach basic music theory and help students prepare for performances or personal goals. My aim is to make flute learning simple, enjoyable, and rewarding for every student.

Flexibility helps me adjust lesson plans according to the student’s progress. Collaboration is encouraged through interactive sessions and shared learning activities.
I create a positive environment where students feel encouraged to learn without fear of mistakes. I also include music theory and rhythm exercises to support overall musical development.
