About Allwin

I am a professional guitarist, teacher, singer/songwriter and composer who has been an active live performance and recording artist for 8+ years with 11+ years of experience in teaching. I'm also a 3-time 1st Prize holder for the Guitar Solo competition of the Kerala State Level Youth Festival.

I was trained as a guitarist by my father from a very young age, and also by legendary guitarists of India such as Vichoo Iyer, Santhosh Chandran and Sunil Silvester.

I started off my teaching career by assisting my father to teach his students, which gave me 11+ years of experience in teaching music.

I have been playing with different bands that deal with different genres which includes pop, rock, metal, jazz, carnatic-metal fusion, blues.

Currently I am the lead guitarist of the band 'The Wooden Shield' and also teaching music at Greets Public School, Cochin Kalakshethra and taking online lessons.

About the lesson

As each student is different in terms of their taste in music, I build my class based on what gives my student the drive they need to stay inspired and keep practicing. Starting off with easy lessons in the beginning, with each step I step up the game in such a way that the student doesn't even realise that they had played something that was harder than the previous lesson effortlessly.

Being a performing musician who is working on stage and in the studio regularly, I tend to focus on getting my students to play their favourite tunes or songs as fast as they can with such perfection that they themselves are flabbergasted at how fast they went from playing nothing, to playing whatever they want with absolute perfection through carefully designed training routines that are specific for each individual to bring out the music that lies deep within regardless of age.
