About Baisali
Namaste! I am Baishali Nandy, a professional Hindustani classical flutist with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music from Rabindra Bharati University. My musical journey began under the guidance of my first Guru, my father, Sri Surya Kanta Nandy, a sitarist.
I received training in Gayaki Ang from Shri Shaktipada Nag, an esteemed flutist and Akashvani artist, and am currently learning Tantrakari Ang under Pandit Pratyush Banerjee of the Shahjahanpur Gharana.
I have performed at various classical music programs and have also been involved in professional studio recordings and musical projects, including collaborations with artists such as Kumar Sanu, Nachiketa Chakraborty, and Subhamita Banerjee. I was also associated with a classical music project at SRFTI and television-based musical productions.

I offer structured training in Hindustani Classical and Light Classical Music for students of all levels, from beginners to advanced learners. My teaching approach focuses on developing pure melody, natural blowing technique, tone clarity, and expressive flute playing.
Along with Raag and Taal, students are guided through Gayaki Ang and Tantrakari styles in a simple and step-by-step manner, helping them build both strong fundamentals and musical expression. My goal is to help students discover the soulful essence of the flute through structured yet expressive learning.
