About Chase

During my tenure and experience as a professional tutor, I have worked with hundreds of students with a wide range of needs and anxieties. For each of them, I listened carefully to understand their situation and address their fears of math. I bring a lot of enthusiasm and context to each session so that my students can see for themselves that math is meant to be enjoyed and appreciated. We work together to solve each problem, and I make sure my students understand the process and the concepts before moving on.

About the lesson

I'm Chase! I have published three books and dozens of technical papers. I have worked as a math tutor with individual students and small groups of students, both in person and through online platforms, for over a decade. I normally work with students in high school and college for all levels and classes involving math, although I have experience working with younger students in elementary school and middle school as well as adults who had already finished their schooling. I also provide extensive customized test prep and individualized support for high school students and junior high school students taking the SAT, the ACT, and other standardized exams. I do everything I can to make sure that my students feel just a little more excited about math and much more confident in their relationship with the subject. I break down each problem into their essential components and make sure my students understand each piece of the puzzle as well as how they fit together. In this way, they grow much more confident approaching and appreciating math!
