About Iris
I have 19 years of teaching experience and hold a Master of Arts in Mathematics. Throughout my professional career, I have taught students from secondary school through university, helping them develop stronger mathematical reasoning and greater confidence through patient instruction and personalized support. I believe meaningful learning occurs when students feel encouraged to explore ideas without fear of making mistakes.
One learner struggled with optimization problems because selecting appropriate mathematical methods often felt overwhelming. Together, we focused on analyzing problem structures, identifying relevant mathematical concepts, and practicing systematic solution strategies through increasingly complex exercises. As confidence grew, the student demonstrated remarkable improvement in both classroom participation and examination performance.
I believe mathematics develops discipline, creativity, critical thinking, and resilience that prepare students for lifelong success. My classroom promotes collaboration, curiosity, and continuous improvement while encouraging every learner to become an independent and confident problem solver.
Outside teaching, I enjoy contributing to mathematics education initiatives, designing innovative learning materials, and attending academic conferences focused on effective instructional practices. These professional interests continually inspire fresh teaching ideas that help students experience mathematics as an engaging, practical, and rewarding subject.

My teaching approach focuses on helping students build lasting mathematical understanding through logical reasoning, practical application, and personalized guidance. Every student begins with an assessment that evaluates existing knowledge, learning preferences, and academic goals. Using these insights, I develop individualized learning plans that strengthen fundamental concepts before introducing more advanced mathematical topics.
Students receive instruction in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, probability, calculus, mathematical modeling, quantitative reasoning, and advanced problem-solving techniques. Lessons combine conceptual discussions, visual demonstrations, collaborative learning activities, guided examples, and independent practice to ensure students understand both the procedures and the underlying mathematical principles. Learners are encouraged to compare different solution strategies and communicate their reasoning clearly.
Real-world applications from engineering, finance, environmental science, medicine, computer science, logistics, and data analytics demonstrate how mathematics supports everyday decision-making and professional careers. Regular assessments, cumulative review sessions, personalized assignments, and detailed feedback help reinforce learning while identifying opportunities for continued improvement.
Students preparing for school examinations, board assessments, SAT, ACT, university entrance examinations, advanced placement courses, or competitive mathematics contests receive individualized preparation programs featuring comprehensive revision schedules, examination strategies, timed practice papers, and continuous academic progress tracking. Every lesson is designed to improve confidence, accuracy, and long-term mathematical success.
