About Rosey
I am a qualified teacher and worked as a peripatetic brass and music tutor based in the London Borough of Lewisham for over 4 years. I have experience teaching and working with children from ages 1-14 and am competent in teaching upper secondary and further education as well as other adult learners. I have experience teaching formal routes for music (Graded examinations ABRSM/Trinity/etc and GCSE/A-Levels) as well as less formal and mainstream routes (Jolly Music, Kodály, community music and workshops). I am trained in classical, contemporary and community music and can also teach aspects of popular music including Jazz, song-writing and basic music technology.

I much prefer to teach brass in person than online. My teaching approach is student-led wherever possible. I put you at the heart of your lessons and learning and aim to provide and accommodate you as much as possible. I have used methods and boards such as Jolly Music, Kodály, MiSST, ABRSM, Trinity, Edexcel, WJEC, (brass) Arban, Langey, Vizzutti, StudentBrass.com and have experience in accessible teaching methods such as colour coding and Makaton. I also advocate for inclusive practice to ensure every person can access, develop and achieve through music.

Details
I can offer lessons for under an hour for £40 a lesson. Cancellations should be made 48 hrs before the scheduled start of the lesson to avoid being charged the full lesson cost. I may charge travel expenses depending on the distance and method of transport, if applicable. Thank you for your understanding.
