About Greg
I’m 26 years old and have been playing for almost 20 years now. Growing up I started with classical guitar before transitioning to lessons and the performance program at School of Rock. I played both guitar and bass in jazz band and marching band along with playing in a cover band starting in high school. During college I played in a few cover bands and started getting more serious about writing music. In 2021 I moved to Austin and have been playing gigs and writing original music all across town since then along with working with Austin Independent Music to provide daily show listings and book shows.

Growing up I learned from a wide variety of teachers and played with groups ranging from garage bands to the marching band. I have a focus on simplicity and free expression built on a strong foundation of fundamentals. The less you know the better since I can help give you a strong start without developing bad habits. If you just want to learn how to play your favorite songs, I can get you there. If you want to become a songwriter I can help you with that too!
