About Roxane
I grew up in a musical family and gave my first t.v. appearance when I was 7. I have given solo concert tours in Europe, Japan, New Zealand, and the U.S. in voice and piano. I played violin in the Rio Hondo symphony. I have taught 45 years + I have conducted vocal choirs both children and adult, orchestras and handbell choirs. I have adjucated competitions and given Master Classes. Many of my students have gotten college scholarships in music. Many of my students have gone on to become teachers themselves. My voice students learn Bel Canto breathing to make their singing seamless from lows to highs. My passion is to bring the gift of music so that each student can have the gift of music in their homes and share their gifts with others. And if they decide to pursue it professionally prepare them to be able to take it to wherever they want to go with it.

I tailor fit my curriculum, choosing the best methods to fit each individual students strengths and weaknesses so that they can advance as quickly as possible in their playing and singing. I have found sticking with one methodology is like sticking with one composer. Can you learn? Yes. But are you the best and most well-rounded musician? No! Also it is boring because it doesn't challenge one the same way. I incorporate music theory within the lessons so that my students fully understand music. My voice students learn Bel Canto breathing to make their singing seamless from lows to highs. I lean more heavily on classical because it is the root of learning correctly, however that being said I incorporate varied styles from musical theater to country, jazz and pop, as it makes for a stronger musician and is interesting and enjoyable.
