About Ashlee
I’m a professionally trained aerialist and performer. I’ve been dancing since I was a baby ballerina and grew up hopping between dance studios, gymnastic floors, and cheer mats through most of my adolescence. I specialized in jazz, ballet, lyrical, and hip hop, before I aged out of general classes/lessons. In my young adult life, I began doing gogo, aerial, and fire performances, eventually leading to professional levels. I grew up learning accommodation practices as well, as someone with a physical disability, I’ve always had to think and consider how best and most comfortably I can perform and present myself, including seating accessible performance. I’m LGBT+ friendly and open to teaching all genders and body types.

My teaching method is all encouragement. It’s less “do this correct” vs “do it comfortable.” I will show the steps, the process, the routines, but allow freedom and physical comfort/limitations to define your movements. I’ve worked and shown children ages 4+ basic dance and performance to see if that is something they’d be interested in trying, all the way to doing themed swing and jazz performance for elderly in care homes for entertainment. I am fire safety certified and can offer training and counsel for such, as well as flow and gogo dancing (let’s go festival season!).
A typical lesson will be 1 hr-1.5 hours depending on if you’d like guided stretching as well.
