Hi, I'm Satin Beige — an R&B cellist, singer-songwriter, and composer with a passion for making music accessible and exciting. My work blends classical foundations with modern, soulful styles, and I’ve had the privilege to perform for legends like Sir Paul McCartney and at renowned venues across the UK and Ireland. What I Offer Beginner Cello Lessons — learn to play with confidence, no experience needed Unconventional Cello — explore modern, soulful, and pop styles Songwriting Support — from idea to finished song, lyric development & melody crafting String Arranging — bespoke arrangements for your songs or projects Whether you're picking up an instrument for the first time or want to bring something unique to your sound, I’d love to help you grow creatively.

About the lesson

My Approach to Teaching I believe music should feel empowering, expressive, and accessible to everyone — whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced musician looking to explore new approaches. My teaching style is friendly, encouraging, and tailored to your unique goals, whether that’s learning the cello, exploring unconventional cello techniques, improving songwriting skills, or diving into string arranging. My Techniques and Methodology Lessons are built around developing confidence, creativity, and technical skill at your pace. I focus on making learning enjoyable — blending traditional foundations with modern, practical applications, especially for those interested in alternative or contemporary music styles. For cello students, I offer both conventional and unconventional techniques, helping you discover your own sound. Songwriting sessions focus on developing lyrical ideas, musical structure, and arrangement skills. String arranging lessons cover both writing for solo instruments and ensembles, suitable for various genres. Lesson Structure and Duration A typical lesson lasts 45 minutes to 1 hour, but I’m happy to adapt based on your preferences and schedule. Sessions can be one-off masterclasses, regular weekly lessons, or flexible bookings for specific projects. My Qualifications and Experience I’m an experienced professional musician, singer-songwriter, cellist, and composer with a performance background that includes appearances at renowned venues and festivals such as Glastonbury, The Abbey Theatre Dublin, Liverpool’s Tung Auditorium, and more. I also work as part of multiple musical projects spanning R&B, contemporary classical, and alternative styles. Who My Lessons Are For All ages and levels welcome — whether you’re picking up an instrument for the first time, reigniting an old passion, or expanding your creative skills as an experienced musician.
