Methodology
I give personalized photography lessons to all ages and levels by helping my students take step by step actions that will help achieve excellent final results in their photographs. By focusing on the concepts behind what makes great photographs, any type of camera can be used to make them.
Background
I'm a professional photographer with a BA degree in photojournalism from CSULB and experience working for major newspapers . I'm currently doing fine art photography, specializing in extreme close-ups of botanical subjects. I also have experience in portrait, wedding, sports, studio still life, travel and public relations photography.

Travel limited to S. California area. 5 hour minimum when travel is involved. 48 hour cancellation notice required.

I have received photography lessons from Jonathan on and off over the last year and I have found him to be a great teacher. What he is best at is being patient and explaining details clearly and methodically in a way that makes sense. He is also very skilled at breaking down the more sophisticated aspects of photography so that it's logical and easy to absorb. My comfort level and my skills have improved substantially since taking lessons from him. I highly recommend him. His own photography is impressive and inspiring.
