About Javier
Javier is a freelance photographer based in Los Angeles, California, working across both artistic and commercial projects. Originally from Córdoba, Argentina, his visual language is deeply shaped by his parallel career in filmmaking. After graduating from Art School at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Javier moved to Bolivia, where he worked in film and television and held a teaching position in photography and screenwriting at a local university. He also pursued literary studies at the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés and enriched his creative practice through seminars in Cultural Management, Magical Realism, Acting, Marketing, and Visual Narratives. His film projects have earned awards and recognition from institutions such as Nueva Mirada, Kodak, Cinecolor, UNCIPAR, and the FESAALP Festival among others. Since relocating to Los Angeles in 2009, Javier has dedicated himself to photography, bringing together technical precision and cinematic vision to create evocative and compelling imagery.

From Beginner to Expert: A Complete Photography Journey: This course explores photography from three inherent aspects—technical mastery, reality in front of, and creative vision. Students will grow from learning the fundamentals to expertly customizing camera and lighting setups. We’ll examine how to both document reality and transform it into something entirely new through artistic intention. You’ll learn simple methods for generating visual ideas, as well as more advanced, creative techniques for producing impactful images. Learning Areas: Pre-production: Developing concepts, visual references, scouting and planning. Production: Camera and lighting setup, working with subjects, styling, and backgrounds. Post-production: Editing with Lightroom and Photoshop to enhance and finalize your images.
