About Michael
Bachelor's degree in liberal arts theater arts. I started off as an actor. The director playwright I taught acting for over 15 years. I managed actors and all along. I always had a camera around my neck ever since I was nine years old and I didn’t think I’d ever carve out a career as a photographer or figure out a way to make money as a photographer until I started shooting my students doing their headshots so that was the first signal - oh people really value this unique ability I have. I had no desire to do weddings, and then this opportunity fell on my lap to shoot for AP news. I was about to turn 50 years old and was the first time in my life. I had a real career and as the thing I loved doing the most. The thing that has always been there.

I’m fun, easy to communicate with. I listen, give simple, workable adjustments to their shooting styles. They just need to keep that camera around their necks or iPhone turned on silent and ready to shoot at all times. You never know when lightning will strike.
