Pyllis has been teaching my kids for over 2 years, now ages 7 and 9. My 9 yo daughter made huge advancements in her skill compared to a previous teacher she had for a few months. Compared with their peers also taking piano elsewhere, they are certainly more advanced. Phyllis is kind a d patient but also definitely implements needed structure and feedback for kids to continuously improve. She will be my kids piano teacher as long as she is still teaching. Phyllis focuses on helping children clearly understand piano notes, which builds a strong foundation and enables them to read music and confidently play songs. She teaches notes and songs simultaneously, making learning both effective and enjoyable. She is also very flexible with scheduling. We, as a family, like her very much, and my daughter absolutely enjoys learning from her.
