About Dashiell

I am a dedicated guitar tutor with 16 years of tutoring experience, teaching school students, college students, and working professionals. Over the years, I have helped learners of different ages and backgrounds build confidence and improve their musical skills. My teaching philosophy is based on strong fundamentals, patience, and regular practice.

I believe guitar learning should be simple, enjoyable, and well-structured. I teach guitar basics, chords, scales, rhythm exercises, strumming patterns, picking techniques, fingerstyle basics, and song performance, along with simple music theory to improve understanding.

Many of my students have performed at school functions, college events, and cultural programmes, and some continue guitar as a long-term passion. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students enjoy learning and grow musically at their own pace.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology is designed to be simple, practical, and easy to follow. I believe guitar learning should be enjoyable and meaningful. I use familiar songs, real practice situations, and small case studies to explain guitar techniques clearly.

I start by understanding the student’s goals, musical interest, and learning style. Communication is respectful and encouraging, creating a comfortable learning environment. I provide regular guidance and feedback.

Integrity is central to my teaching philosophy. I focus on correct posture, finger techniques, and steady improvement. Guitar lessons include chord transitions, strumming patterns, rhythm accuracy, scales, and musical expression. Along with guitar, I also teach related subjects such as basic music theory, ear training, rhythm exercises, and song interpretation.
