About Imy

I have over six years of experience where I initially started teaching in my Second Year of University. I facilitated Year 1 Economic students to assist their studies in Economics using my own experiences and lessons.

Following University, I started a side business to educate females on Financial Literacy and Investing. In addition, I conduct webinars for my audience regularly. I have made resources to teach such topics fun, easily digestible and exciting so those who engage will take away from my lessons and apply the concepts to their lives to reach financial freedom. I taught such subjects at schools (mainly Year 10 and Year 12 students) and corporate companies such as Barclays.

I also conducted economic analysis on a series of topics that I then collated into succinct articles to ensure the layman individual understands complex issues in current affairs. The main focus of the articles surrounded the discourse of sustainable investing, which I further dissected and discussed how and why individuals should invest consciously. About the lesson

I am currently working professionally as a Senior Associate at a top tier Hedge Fund/Private Equity Consultancy. I have 2+ years of experience in the Investment Industry and a side business where I educate females on Financial Literacy and Investing.

I aim to inspire students to help them pass their exams with flying colours. I will also help students conceptualize and find an interest in the subject. I am passionate about assisting students to realize their full potential and the importance of Economics in the real world.

My approach is to instil a foundational understanding of economics. This will better the students` results in the short term and carry them onwards into Higher Education and after that in their careers. Furthermore, having a firm understanding of the foundations of a subject further encourages confidence. It boosts the student`s self-esteem within that particular subject so they can firmly answer questions in exams.

I encourage students to ask questions throughout the session, ensuring the students are engaged and understand each concept discussed. My teaching approach also surrounds perfecting the exam technique to provide the student will pass with a high percentage.

Additionally, I like to use real-world examples to explain specific and complex theories during my teaching of the subject, as this is a proven technique for studying and understanding. Finally, I start my early sessions with students by focusing on their weaknesses and building upon them.

I can offer further support with Higher Education applications and career paths. I am also available for the student to call/email after the session, and I will always provide homework based on the topics we have discussed in the previous lesson.
