About Alex

Alex Kafrissen is a New York City based actor, singer, dancer, writer, and teacher from Philadelphia, PA. She graduated summa cum laude from Syracuse University in May 2024 with a BFA in Musical Theater, and a minor in Music Industry. Recent regional credits include Theatre Aspen, Aspen Music Festival, and Syracuse Stage. In December 2023, Alex made her solo cabaret debut with an original 30 minute piece titled Dear Diary, utilizing 15 years of diary entries to explore the differences between getting older and growing up.

About the lesson

Singing should not be a mystery. Alex works with students of all skill levels to develop healthy and sustainable vocal technique and practice regimens. With a foundation in classical, musical theater, and pop vocal techniques, Alex encourages students to explore multiple styles and find their natural voice within each genre. Alex graduated summa cum laude from Syracuse University with a BFA in Musical Theater and a Minor in Music Industry. She brings years of experience as a professional vocalist, performing around the world from concert halls in Austria, to music festival stages in New York City and Aspen, CO. Alex brings joy and passion to each lesson and dedicates herself to tailoring lesson plans to each student’s interests and skill level.
