About Rebecca

A native of Miami, Rebecca Longtemps is an active music instructor and vocalist. She has undergraduate and graduate degrees in Vocal Performance from Florida International University and Florida State University. At an early age, she developed an interest and aptitude for music, first at the piano and then through the Miami Children’s Chorus. She has been a two-time finalist in the southeast regional NATS vocal competitions and is a registered teacher with the National Association of Teachers of Singing. As a vocalist, Rebecca has given recitals and performed with ensembles in the United Kingdom, Austria, Czech Republic, Mexico, and the United States. She has performed as a soloist with ensembles such as the FIU Wind Symphony, FIU Symphony Orchestra, FIU Camerata, Camerata del Puerto Orchestra, Opera Louisiane, Theatre Baton Rouge, Florida Grand Opera Young Artists, an early music ensemble called Celestial and recently performed live on WDNA Jazz Radio. Rebecca has over 7 years of experience teaching voice and piano lessons in conservatories, music academies, as well as in her private studio. She has taught with organizations in Louisiana such as Acadiana Symphony Conservatory of Music and Centre for the Arts. In Miami, she has taught with the Hess Conservatory of Music, Miami Music Works, Musician’s Discount Center, and Greater Miami Youth Symphony. She currently teaches from her private studio and continues to perform around Miami.

About the lesson

Studies have shown that learning to sing or play an instrument is not only an enjoyable and meaningful activity, but its benefits on auditory, attention and memory skills last for a lifetime. I have 7+ years experience teaching voice and piano lessons and hold bachelor and master degrees in Voice Performance. Prior to studying voice, I took piano lessons from an early age until leaving for college where I continued to practice on my own and teach beginner piano. I incorporate basic knowledge of the piano into voice lessons as I believe it is fundamental and helps every musician succeed!

Details

First lesson is FREE - no obligation!

30 Minutes = $30 per lesson x 4 Lessons = $120 per month
45 Minutes = $45 per lesson x 4 Lessons = $180 per month
60 Minutes = $55 per lesson x 4 Lessons = $220 per month

+ Lessons may take place at student’s home or my home studio.
+ Lessons are billed monthly at the first lesson of each month and are non-refundable.
+ Make-up lessons are possible for all lessons cancelled with 24 hour notice.
+ Any lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours notice or no-shows are subject to full billing.
