About Finn
I am a passionate Piano tutor with 14 years of teaching and professional music experience. I teach piano to school and college students and truly enjoy helping learners develop their musical skills while gaining confidence and discipline.
Over the 14 years, I have achieved meaningful milestones, including guiding students from basic skills to confident, expressive performers. Witnessing students grow musically and personally has been deeply rewarding and inspiring.
My lessons focus on building strong fundamentals, including proper posture, finger technique, hand coordination, rhythm, and music reading. I also introduce basic music theory so students can understand the music they play and develop independence.
I believe piano learning nurtures focus, patience, creativity, and emotional expression. Music helps students build confidence, self-discipline, and positive habits that carry over into other areas of life.
My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and adaptable. I tailor lessons to each student’s pace and goals, ensuring they enjoy learning while steadily progressing. My aim is to inspire students to love piano and continue their musical journey with confidence and joy.

I believe piano lessons should be practical, inspiring, and creatively enriching. I focus on communication, ensuring that students understand hand techniques, rhythm, music theory, and expressive performance clearly. Lessons are tailored to the student’s learning style—visual, auditory, or hands-on—allowing them to progress effectively while enjoying the process.
I make lessons engaging with real-life examples and case studies, such as analysing favourite songs, exploring classical compositions, and demonstrating music’s application in films, media, and daily life. Alongside piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, ear training, improvisation, and beginner composition, helping students develop technical skill, creativity, and musical understanding. My teaching encourages performance confidence, discipline, and a lifelong passion for music, enabling students to express themselves fully through the piano.
