About Shadow

I have been a technical trainer for 29 years. During that time, I’ve taught all levels of experience ranging from basic computing skills such as using office productivity programs and operating systems to advanced networking and cybersecurity at the executive level. Whether you want to learn how to manage your home or small office network, utilize cloud based services, gain new skills to transition into an IT career, or pursue high level certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker or CISSP, I can help! Specializing in career changers and making complex topics easy to understand.
My previous students include employees ofAkamai, Northrop Grumman, Netflix, American Express, numerous Fortune 500 companies, and all branches of the US military. I hold over 20 certifications in technology and cybersecurity from Microsoft, CompTIA, EV-Council, and ISC2.
My students routinely tell me that they find my style of teaching effective. I’ve had feedback regarding computer based training content (videos) where students wrote to let me know it was more understandable and effective than college courses they have attended.
Customer service is my passion. There are only two reasons a student does not reach their maximum potential: lack of effort or ineffective training. About the lesson

It’s impossible to learn unless you can understand the person teaching. My focus is on understanding-what you want to master and then providing instruction so that you can quickly and easily understand the technology. lessons are held remotely over meeting software. Depending on the topic, I will provide a lecture, demonstration, help you complete labs and/or answer questions. If you tell me what you are trying to do that you can’t do, I will teach you how to do it the right way, why that is best practice, what you should consider going forward, and ensure you have the technical skills to achieve your goal. If you’re studying for a certification exam, I will help you master the knowledge pool and improve your test-taking ability by coaching you using sample questions.
