About Zak
I am a professional recording and touring artist who has worked with David Gilmour, Emmylou Harris, Rufus Wainwright, Richard Thompson and many more.
Throughout this 15 year career, I have always taught too. I get deep joy in sharing my love of music and the guitar with those who are seeking to improve. I myself continue to get lessons on occasion from legends of the instrument as well as to further my knowledge of different styles.
As a recent father, I am making myself more available as a teacher so I can stay closer to home.

As a teacher, I have helped everyone from children to retirees find passion in learning deeply about the instrument I love. Working on small incremental goals and long term
I am well versed in most styles and am equally comfortable on acoustic and electric as well as being proficient on mandolin and ukulele too.
I really enjoy crafting lesson plans around my student’s tastes and seeing people flourish.
