About Melissa

As an analytical chemist, I break problems down into smaller, easier steps. This applies to the way I tutor math and science! Problems are tackled by breaking them down and deciding on a step by step method to figuring them out.
My goal is to help you build your confidence and your skill is whatever subject you are struggling in.

About the lesson

We all learn in different ways, especially when it comes to math! Sometimes the way you are being taught just doesn't work for you.

I help students understand math and science by carefully constructing lesson plans that meet their individual needs.

In a typical lesson, you will get clear learning objectives, engaging activities, and effective/frequent assessments to see where you're at.

I offer tutoring for general junior-high school math, precalculus, and first-year university statistics.

Willing to travel anywhere in Winnipeg for additional travel cost.

Melissa was able to break the concepts down into small sections and explain them clearly so that he understood them. My son actually seemed excited at the end of lessons because he felt like he could do algebra! It has been a wonderful experience with her, I would recommend her to anyone.
