About Lydia
A current high school senior with musical training beginning at age 3, first in piano and later in violin, brings a strong technical foundation and extensive ensemble experience. Performance and arrangement work includes orchestra, octets, quartets, trios, and duets, reflecting both musicianship and leadership.
Well-regarded for working with young children and teens, supported by two years of babysitting experience and a patient, encouraging approach. Known for being responsible, clear in communication, and effective in helping students build confidence and overcome technical challenges.
Outside of music, a fondness for pigs has led to a cheerful collection of stuffed animal pigs and miniature figurines, adding a fun and approachable personal touch.

Lessons are engaging, structured, and tailored to each student’s learning style, personality, and goals. Each session is carefully planned with clear short-term and long-term objectives, focusing on technique, musical understanding, and confidence building.
Students are prepared for school orchestra playing tests, chair placements, auditions, and ABRSM exams (Grades 1–5) through targeted exercises, repertoire selection, and consistent review. Lessons include guided practice strategies so students know how to practice effectively between sessions, not just what to practice.
All lessons are conducted professionally with clear expectations, steady progress tracking, and a supportive learning environment that encourages focus, growth, and independence.

Lydia’s teaching style is perfect for any level! She’s patient, supportive, and most importantly, fun. I can guarantee you will have an enjoyable experience.
Working with Lydia in the same research group or on a developer app was the best experience. As a product researcher, she was so hard-working and a great team lead. Lydia planned everything around members' strengths while also improving our weaknesses without dragging the project out. I would love to work with her again!
I was Lyd's co-worker in a research group for a developer app; she was so detail-oriented and goal-oriented, it's extraordinary. Lydia would always plan everything out and ensure the whole group distributes work in a way that everyone's strength is brought out while also improving our weak spots! I'd love to work with her again.
I was one of Lydia's students for SAT bootcamp, and she helped me achieve that 800 in the Math Module, for which I am extremely grateful! She taught me quick hacks and skills to excel at the SAT!
Lydia is a wonderful family friend of mine, and I can assure you that Lydia is an exceptional teacher and caretaker! I have three children—triplets—and she has been incredibly helpful in supporting my kids' learning, especially in mathematics. The oldest of my children is also learning piano from her, and my second oldest triplet is being tutored in Chinese by Lydia as well. She is extremely talented, often switching teaching styles to match each child's learning style and attention span. Besides her skills in teaching academic subjects and musical understanding, she also does an excellent job of instilling good habits in her students. My kids have started journaling and have even learned better manners from her! An excellent girl!
Lydia aided me in passing my Algebra II course! my grade went from an 87 to a 96!
