About Marie
With more than 15 years of experience, I specialise in teaching singing to college students. I focus on building a strong technical foundation while nurturing creativity and expression. My lessons cover breath control, pitch, tone, vocal flexibility, and expressive performance.
I combine traditional methods with modern techniques such as improvisation, recording for self-feedback, and practical song analysis. Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals and learning style, making them both effective and enjoyable.
I place strong emphasis on performance skills, guiding students to develop confidence, stage presence, and emotional delivery. I also teach basic music theory and ear training to ensure students understand the music behind their songs.
I encourage students to explore different genres and develop their personal style. Over the years, I have helped students succeed in recitals, competitions, and auditions while fostering their love for music.
My teaching style is supportive, patient, and motivating. I aim to inspire students to discover their voice, perform with confidence, and enjoy the process of becoming skilled and expressive singers.

My approach to teaching Singing is supportive and structured. I use clear communication to explain breathing techniques, posture, and voice control. Students are encouraged to ask questions and share challenges freely.
Creativity plays a major role in my lessons. I include creative vocal drills, expressive singing, and storytelling through music to make learning enjoyable.
Cultural sensitivity is practised by respecting students’ musical preferences and cultural roots. I welcome songs from different languages and traditions.
Accountability is built through regular assessments, practice plans, and feedback sessions. I help students set realistic goals and track their progress. Along with singing, I also teach music reading, rhythm skills, ear training, and vocal health.
