About Aashaka

I strongly believe Yoga is a lifestyle, not just a 1 or 2 hour lesson. I aim to improve not only the body but also the mind set of a person, their emotions or even provide guidance for their diet (if they require) for my client to maintain a smooth, calm, healthy and happy lifestyle.

About the lesson

I am a trained Yoga teacher from 'The Yoga Institute Mumbai" with a 200TTC certificate. My techniques and methodology highly depend on the requirements of the client. The exercises and the schedule depends on the client's goals, lifestyle etc. I have been teaching yoga professionally for one year. Prior to that I conducted workshops in Seychelles and India. I have been a yoga practitioner since childhood.
I offer a minimum of 1 hour lesson however I believe 2 hours is the ideal time for one's body and mind to complete the process of warm up, exercise, breathing techniques and meditation.
My lessons are for all age groups ranging from children age 6 or above to adults of all ages.

Perfect! Ashaka is an amazing teacher who comes from a long line of Yogis in her family which shows. She is incredibly knowledgeable and was able to identify my particular needs and respond to them. Whilst I have on and off been going to different Yoga classes for a long time, my yoga practice has grown in my individual classes with Ashaka like never before. Ashaka is so encouraging and positive and I can’t recommend her enough.

Aashaka is an excellent maths teacher who was able to improve my year 9 maths scores from an average of 40% to 85%. This gave me a very strong foundation for my upcoming HSCs. She is very organised and helps her students with not only maths, but setting out weekly study plans and takes out extra time to give out and mark our homework. Aashaka is so encouraging and positive. I can't recommend her enough.
