Professor/Educational Neuroscientist specializing in working with students with learning differences (i.e., Dyslexia, ADHD)

Methodology

I am student-centered in my approaches, and take time to determine the best learning theory application for each of my clients. As an educational neuroscientist I understand how the brain changes throughout childhood and adolescence, and the implications those changes have for learning, motivation, and achievement.

Background

I am a professor and educational neuroscientist with 25 years of tutoring and teaching experience in all subjects. I specialize in math and writing (K-12 and college) and have expertise in working with children and adolescents with learning differences and/or classroom challenges (such as dyslexia, ASD and ADHD). I pride myself on strong communication with families and clear, objective measures of meeting agreed upon goals. I use humor, sincerity and evidence-based research on pedagogy and learning sciences when working with all of my students.
