About Blythe
--B of S in fashion design from Syracuse University
--15 years teaching professionally at Otis College of Art and Design (in the fashion Senior Studio mentor program) and Woodbury University
--bespoke tailoring teaching experience. From fitting a muslin, to the first cut of the wool, the canvas, the sleeve and collar setting, to final finishing with lining and hand-made buttonholes.
--Numerous film and TV production credits as a cutter-fitter; IMDB and full CV available upon request
--Currently working as a pattern maker and sample developer for fashion companies
--extensive experience in bridal gowns

I've taught professionally for 15 years, and now work in the film, TV, and fashion industry. Intermediate and advanced-level sewers, pattern makers, and drapers are my preferred clients. I assess your current knowledge by getting to know you and asking what your goals are; they can be personal or professional; and what has stopped you from reaching them up to this point. Then we craft a goal-oriented lesson, or lessons, together according to your specific learning style. For example, if you are a visual learner, we'll use images and videos to accompany the lesson and for later reference. If you are an auditory learner, we'll use step-by-step spoken instruction with active note-taking for later reference.
