About Sergio

I’m Professor Sérgio Silva, originally from Curitiba, Brazil, and a 5th-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, Judo black belt, and former World Champion in Submission Wrestling.

My martial arts journey began in 1979. Since then, I’ve become a multiple-time national and international champion in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA, with over 36 years of teaching experience.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of training and teaching elite athletes, including UFC and PRIDE champions such as Maurício “Shogun” Rua and Murilo “Ninja” Rua.

I also studied Physical Education for three years at universities in Brazil and have extensive experience in mobility training, yoga, and Ginástica Natural.

I’ve dedicated my life to helping children, adults, beginners, and professional athletes develop confidence, discipline, technical excellence, and lifelong physical fitness.

My greatest achievement isn’t winning championships. It’s helping my students discover what they’re truly capable of achieving.
