About Sridhar
Hello, I am Dr. Sridhar currently living in USA. I am teaching chemistry for students at various grade levels from demographically diverse student population since 2005. I am naturally curious to learn and familiarize myself with different cultures. My personal interests are playing board games and personal finance.
I have been teaching chemistry since 2005. Since my graduate days I have the opportunity to teach at various universities on a wide range of chemistry courses ranging from Intro to chemistry, AP chemistry, Gen Chem I and II, O chem I and II and other special topics. I am trained to engage students through a variety of active learning pedagogies through several professional development conferences. Students in my class learn subject matter to see its relevance to real life via experiential learning, problem and team based learning and not by rote memorization. My philosophy of teaching is to develop critical thinking, and the skills students acquire go beyond even after they are done with my classes and they become lifelong learners. In addition, I foster a growth mindset as part of my pedagogy. Several of my students cleared their AP chemistry classes, got admitted to medicine, etc, or simply helped them succeed when they had roadblocks.

Helping students understand chemistry through real-life applications and finding relevance in day-to-day activities. Instead of rote memorization, I can help students think critically and develop their problem-solving skills. Have taught chemistry at school, community college, University and served as a tutor for a variety of students that are demographically different and diverse.
With a terminal degree in chemistry (Ph.D), I can teach chemistry ranging from Honors, AP, General Chemistry, Organic chemistry IB, MCAT prep, and special projects. I can do tutoring online (remote) or in person.
