With over two years of experience in teaching programming (working as an instructor at an after school programming company with hundreds of students), I've developed an effective teaching style that caters to various learning needs and styles.
In my approach to tutoring computer programming, I focus on adopting a methodology that emphasizes hands-on learning and a deep understanding of core concepts. I believe that true proficiency in programming comes from a strong foundation in logic and the fundamental principles all languages, giving the student the ability to pick up any languages once the concepts are understood.
During my lessons, which typically last 1 hour, I engage students with practical coding exercises. This not only allows them to apply what they've learned in real-world scenarios but also helps solidify their understanding of theoretical concepts.
