I'm a language learner just like you. When I learn languages, I draw parallels to the languages I already know, which makes it easier for me to make sense of the language I'm trying to learn. I believe that someone who has gone through the process of learning the language you want to learn can offer more insight and value, especially during the beginner and intermediate stages of the learning process.

Having learned Spanish in my adult age, I've gained something not even Spanish speaking natives have; the knowledge of what works and what doesn't when it comes to learning Spanish. Most natives of any language know what sounds right, but they don't know why it is right, that's where someone who has learned the language as an adult can help out to make sense of different kinds of sentence structures.
