About Serena
My journey in programming began with curiosity about how code can create meaningful tools and solutions. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Computer Science and an M.Sc in Software Engineering, combining strong technical knowledge with applied software development. Over 9 years, I have mentored learners in programming, software design, and logical thinking, helping them build confidence and practical skills.
I emphasize patience, clarity, and adaptability in teaching. Lessons include hands-on coding exercises, stepwise explanations, problem-solving challenges, and iterative feedback. I encourage learners to explore independently, understand underlying logic, and develop structured thinking, rather than relying on memorization.
Beyond teaching, I stay engaged with programming trends, open-source projects, and new technologies, bringing relevant insights into the classroom. Witnessing students progress from uncertainty to confidently designing and executing code is highly rewarding. My goal is to nurture learners who think critically, code effectively, and apply computational thinking across challenges.
