About Meredith
I have 9 years of experience teaching Computer Programming, supporting students from their first lines of code to advanced preparation for academic and professional success. I hold a B.Sc in Computer Engineering, which has given me a strong foundation in both software development principles and computational systems. Over the years, I have guided learners in building confidence through patient instruction, structured learning, and consistent encouragement.
My teaching philosophy centers on clarity, adaptability, and empowerment. I break down difficult programming concepts into manageable steps, using real-world analogies and guided practice. Computer Programming becomes exciting when learners realize that coding is a creative tool for solving problems and building ideas into reality. In my lessons, I focus on helping students develop strong foundations in logic, programming structure, and computational thinking. We explore languages such as Python and Java through guided exercises, hands-on practice, and real-world examples that make abstract concepts feel understandable. Lessons are structured according to each learner’s level. Beginners start with variables, loops, conditions, and basic program flow. Intermediate students strengthen debugging skills, object-oriented programming, modular design, and project organization. Advanced learners explore algorithms, data structures, optimization, APIs, and interview preparation challenges. Every session emphasizes understanding why solutions work, so learners gain independence rather than relying on memorization.
