Programming Tutor for Java, former IT professional with 30+ years of experience

Methodology

I conduct my sessions online, using screen sharing sot that student can show me what they are working on. I can help by talking with the student about the work. In this mode I can talk the student through finding a solution.

Background

Computer Technology at HCC over 40+ years ago. Followed by 30+ years of work as a programmer, system analyst. My working life constitutes the lion share of my education. I acted as a computer generalist, finding the tools and methods that would address the current need whatever the current need was.
In my jobs I evaluated, learned and taught many different programming languages and tools. The net result I am very comfortable with new stuff.
The last couple of years I have been doing tutoring. Most of this has been helping students wit C, C++, Python, and Java.
