About Anya
I am a Computer Programming tutor with 6 years of teaching experience, helping High School and College students build strong coding skills and confidence in programming. I have successfully taught around 250 students and supported them in improving their academic performance, completing assignments, and preparing for exams and interviews.
I specialise in Computer Programming with a strong focus on Java, along with C, C++, Python basics, SQL, Data Structures, Algorithms, Object Oriented Programming, and Web Programming fundamentals. My goal is to make programming easy to understand by focusing on clear logic, practical examples, and step-by-step learning.
My teaching philosophy is simple: every student can learn programming with the right guidance and approach. I believe in building strong fundamentals first, because a clear understanding of basics helps students solve any type of problem confidently. I encourage students to think logically, practice regularly, and learn by doing rather than just memorising concepts.
I follow a flexible and student-centred teaching style. I adjust my pace and methods based on each student’s understanding level. I use simple explanations, real-life examples, and coding practice sessions to make learning effective. I also provide regular problem-solving exercises and mini-projects to improve practical skills.

My teaching approach for Computer Programming is designed to help students understand concepts clearly and apply them confidently in real situations. I focus on building strong fundamentals first, so students can learn any programming language or tool with ease. My main goal is to make coding simple, logical, and enjoyable for school and university students.
I primarily teach Java along with other important programming subjects such as C, C++, Python basics, SQL, Data Structures, Algorithms, Object Oriented Programming, and Web Programming fundamentals. I also help students understand how these subjects connect to real-world applications like software development, database management, and backend systems.
My teaching methodology is flexible and adapted to each student’s learning speed and understanding level. I use step-by-step explanations, live coding examples, problem-solving exercises, and real-time practice sessions. I encourage students to write code actively rather than only watching or memorising.
I believe empathy and compassion are very important in teaching. Many students struggle with programming at first, so I create a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions without hesitation. I break complex topics into simple parts and repeat concepts in different ways until they are fully clear.
Communication is a key part of my tutoring style. I make sure every concept is explained in simple English with clear logic and examples. I also encourage two-way interaction so students stay engaged and confident throughout the learning process.
