About Riya
My passion for programming began with curiosity about how logical instructions could create meaningful solutions. I earned a B.Sc in Computer Science followed by an M.Sc in Software Engineering, where I studied algorithms, programming paradigms, software design, and systems development. Over 9 years of teaching, I have guided learners of all levels to develop coding proficiency, analytical thinking, and confidence. I focus on clarity, adaptability, and patience in teaching. Lessons are tailored to each student’s pace and learning style, with interactive exercises, guided projects, and practical examples. I encourage independent thinking, problem decomposition, and experimentation to help students understand why their code works, rather than memorizing patterns. Outside the classroom, I remain engaged with software projects, emerging technologies, and algorithmic research. This allows me to integrate modern applications and real-world relevance into lessons. Teaching programming is fulfilling because I witness students grow from uncertainty to confidence, developing both technical skill and creative problem-solving ability.

Lessons are interactive, encouraging experimentation, questions, and creative solutions. I integrate debugging techniques, code optimization, and project-based learning to make programming both practical and intellectually stimulating. Each session is designed to cultivate curiosity, independence, and resilience in tackling complex problems.
Lesson content is tailored to the learner’s experience. Beginners explore variables, loops, and basic program structure. Intermediate learners work on modular programming, algorithms, and data manipulation. Advanced learners focus on optimization, API integration, software architecture, and preparation for coding competitions or professional interviews.
