About Skylar
My interest in programming began with a fascination for creating functional solutions from logical building blocks. I earned a B.Sc in Computer Science and an M.Sc in Software Development, which provided both foundational knowledge and advanced problem-solving skills. Over 9 years of teaching, I have guided learners of all levels in understanding coding principles, developing structured thinking, and building confidence in programming through engaging and practical lessons.
I focus on clarity, hands-on practice, and relevance. Many learners initially struggle with abstract logic or debugging challenges, so I break down concepts into manageable steps, provide real-world examples, and encourage experimentation. This approach fosters understanding, resilience, and self-assurance.
Outside teaching, I actively engage in programming projects, open-source contributions, and algorithmic problem-solving, ensuring that my lessons remain current and practical. Watching learners progress from hesitation to confidence and independence in coding is deeply fulfilling. Supporting students in mastering programming and logical thinking is the most rewarding aspect of my work.

Beginners start with basic syntax, variables, loops, conditionals, and simple problem-solving exercises to build familiarity and confidence. Intermediate learners explore functions, recursion, object-oriented programming, modular design, and debugging strategies. Advanced learners tackle complex algorithms, optimization problems, API integration, and software design principles, integrating theory with practical projects. Each session includes guided exercises, personalized feedback, and real-world examples to reinforce learning.
