About Ishaan

I hold a PhD in Computer Science and have spent 12 years teaching programming and software development concepts. My fascination with computing began when I discovered how a few lines of code could create useful tools and solve complex problems. This passion eventually led me into advanced study and a long-term commitment to education.

Throughout my teaching career, I have guided students ranging from complete beginners to advanced learners preparing for technical careers. I believe programming education should focus on building understanding rather than memorisation. My lessons are designed to help students develop confidence, logical thinking, and practical coding skills that can be applied in many areas.

Outside teaching, I enjoy exploring emerging technologies, studying software architecture, and working on personal programming projects. Staying active in the field allows me to bring relevant knowledge and real-world perspectives into my lessons. Helping students transform uncertainty into confidence and creativity is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.

About the lesson

Programming is a skill that combines logic, creativity, and continuous learning. My lessons help students develop a strong understanding of coding principles through practical projects and structured instruction. We explore topics such as Python, Java, algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, debugging, and software development practices. I focus on helping learners understand not only how code works but also why certain solutions are effective.

Lessons are customised according to the student’s experience level and goals. Beginners learn programming fundamentals through simple exercises and guided projects, while advanced learners tackle algorithm design, optimisation, and larger software applications. I encourage hands-on learning because students gain confidence when they actively apply concepts and solve real coding challenges.

My teaching philosophy emphasises understanding, experimentation, and problem-solving. Programming often involves overcoming obstacles, and I help students develop the persistence and analytical thinking needed to succeed. By building strong foundations and encouraging independent learning, I help learners become more confident and capable programmers.
