About Kate
With more than 8 years of piano teaching experience, I have guided students from schools, colleges, and professional backgrounds. My teaching philosophy emphasises patience, creativity, and individualised learning. I focus on building technical skills, musical knowledge, and expressive playing while making lessons enjoyable, engaging, and effective. Many of my students have performed in recitals, competitions, and public events, gaining confidence and skill. I blend theory, technique, and creative exercises in lessons, tailoring my approach to each student’s pace and goals. My teaching methodology combines compassion, patience, and clear explanation. I aim to make piano learning simple and enjoyable for all students. I teach piano basics such as posture, finger strength, rhythm, and reading notes step by step. I move forward only when students are comfortable with the lessons. I encourage open communication and welcome questions. I provide regular feedback and positive support to help students improve. Besides piano, I teach music theory, scales, chords, sight reading, and rhythm practice. These subjects help students gain complete musical understanding. I also help students plan effective practice routines. My supportive teaching style helps students feel confident and motivated.
